Sea levels in the UK are rising fast
n the news this week we learn that sea levels are rising faster in the UK than elsewhere. Online, people were sceptical to the degree that they laughed and said that it was all nonsense. One commentator posted photographs of Durdle Door bay in Dorset from 1920 and 2020 ‘proving’ sea levels hadn’t risen. Others said that it defied the laws of physics that surely the water levels around the globe must rise by the same amount.
